In many cases, the Postal Guide gives the Chinese name alone. This applies to most small places, and it is not always easy to identify Chinese post offices with Turki villages ; e.g. are Luntai (east of Kucha) and Shanshan (east of Turfan), as shown in the somewhat diagrammatic Postal Atlas of China, identical with the Bugur and Pichan of the Survey of India maps?
